Tools Core is an independent project that builds free, fast, no-sign-up online utilities — the calculators and converters you reach for when you need a quick, reliable answer and don't want to download an app, create an account, or wade through a page buried in pop-ups. Mortgage and loan repayments, BMI and salary figures, currency and unit conversions, dates and percentages: each tool does one job well and gets out of your way. It is not a startup with a roadmap of features to up-sell you on; it is a focused, deliberately small collection of utilities maintained because tools this simple should just work.
Why this site exists
Most "free" online calculators come at a hidden cost. They make you sit through an interstitial ad before showing a result, gate a basic conversion behind a sign-up wall, or load so much tracking and third-party script that a one-line calculation takes seconds to render on a phone. We built Tools Core because we kept hitting those walls ourselves and wanted the opposite: a tool you can open, use in a single tap, and close, with the answer on screen before you've finished reading the heading.
That goal shapes every decision here. Pages are plain HTML and a single shared stylesheet, so they load almost instantly even on a slow mobile connection. There is no framework bundle to download and no spinner to wait through. The aim is a tool that respects your time and your data connection as much as your privacy.
How we think about quality and privacy
There is no account to create on Tools Core, no profile we build about you, and nothing we store: the calculations happen on your device and stay there. We keep the lights on with advertising rather than by selling or harvesting data, and we would rather be plain about that than bury it — the full detail of how the ads work, and how to switch off personalized ones, lives on our Privacy Policy page.
We also try to be honest about what these tools are. The financial and health calculators give you well-formed estimates for planning and education — they are not a substitute for professional advice, and our Terms page sets out that distinction in plain language. We would rather you trust a clearly-labelled estimate than be misled by a result dressed up as something it isn't.
